HOW IT WORKS

Refunds on a marketplace

Providers set the terms

Each listing has its own cancellation and refund policy defined by the host. Spotinga does not override those terms.

Policy shown before you book

The full refund and cancellation policy is displayed on the product page, before you reach checkout. Always review it first.

Spotinga supports fair outcomes

When disputes arise, Spotinga mediates between customers and providers to reach a fair resolution based on the listing terms.

BUYER-INITIATED

Cancelling your booking

The refund amount — if any — is determined by the provider's cancellation policy shown on the listing at the time of booking. Policies vary by provider, experience type, and how far in advance you cancel.

To cancel, go to your account dashboard, navigate to your bookings, and follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, use the link in your booking confirmation email.

Full Refund

Cancellation made within the provider's advance window — typically 7 days or more before the experience.

Partial Refund

Cancellation within a shorter window closer to the date. The portion refunded depends on the specific policy.

No Refund

Last-minute cancellations or explicitly non-refundable bookings, as stated on the listing page.

PROVIDER-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS
You're entitled to a full refund

If a provider cancels a confirmed booking, Spotinga guarantees a full refund of the amount you paid. The refund is processed as soon as the provider confirms the cancellation.

In some cases the provider may offer rescheduling as an alternative — you are not obligated to accept it. A full refund will be issued if you prefer.

EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES

When things are outside everyone's control

Severe weather, natural disasters, government travel restrictions, and public safety emergencies can affect bookings outside the normal policy window.

Spotinga works with providers to determine the fairest resolution for both parties.
Refunds, credits, or rescheduling options may be offered, depending on the provider's terms and the nature of the event.

Approved refunds are credited back to your original payment method. Timelines vary by payment provider.

5–15 business days, depending on your issuing bank
Other Payment Methods
Up to 15 business days
Note: Spotinga platform fees are generally non-refundable unless the cancellation is provider-initiated.

If you believe a refund hasn't been handled fairly or have a disagreement with a provider, Spotinga can review the case. We aim to facilitate a fair resolution for both parties based on the listing policy and the circumstances.
