The idea behind Spotinga
It started with the kind of frustration that turns into a product.
Not a theoretical market gap — a real, repeated experience of looking for something specific and returning empty-handed every time.
It wasn't a shortage of things to do. Plenty of options existed. But none of them felt right. The guided trek to a spot most people never find. The food experience run by someone who's spent thirty years perfecting it. The scenic drive with someone who knows every turn. The niche event for people with a specific kind of curiosity. These experiences existed — but finding them was harder than it should have been.
The mainstream platforms were full of options, but most of those options were the same options — promoted, repackaged, and pushed to the top regardless of quality. Genuine, independent creators were buried. You had to already know what you were looking for, and who was offering it, before the platform would help you find it.
On the other side of that equation, the people creating those experiences had the same problem in reverse. They had something real to offer and nowhere obvious to offer it — at least not without surrendering a significant cut of every booking to a platform that hadn't done much to earn it.
Spotinga is the answer to both halves of that problem. The name comes from My Spot — that place, experience, or moment that feels unmistakably yours. We built Spotinga to help everyone find theirs, and to give the passionate people behind those spots a proper platform to share them with the world.
